My name is Carmen,
I’m 37, (gosh I’m old) Married to my best friend, a former missionary, who is now a Network Administrator. I grew up on an organic/natural farm in middle Tennessee. Raised by Hippies in the middle of no-where.
Little did I know how good I had it as a kid…a few years later with 6 children under our roof and feet (yes they are ALL ours), I want something better for them.  Disgusted with wasteful, always consuming, and “convenience” style of living I am striving to get back to the basics…living a more relevant lifestyle for today and training the future to live life more fully, healthy and responsible.

I’m a (retired piano restorer/tuner) stay at home, home schooling Mother of 6 children at home (we have 8 children total). We are starting our own organic vegetable and herb gardens this year and going chemical free in as many areas of our lives as possible. Also, a close friend and I are designing and testing a cloth diaper that is both economical and effective. Stay tuned for more info on that!

I’d love to have a little bit bigger piece of earth so that we could have our own little far away farm. Maybe one day.

I hope to bring recipes and ideas that are relevant for your life as well.  I believe that living a greener lifestyle doesn’t have to be expensive and it doesn’t have to be hard. We can live safe, non toxic and it doesn’t have to break our pocketbooks…it can even save us some $$$$ in the process.

Is can be easy being green! :)
